Professor Roland Stephens

Roland Stephens started his training as a martial artist as a young man in 1973. He is now the senior student of multiple Black Belt Hall of Fame member Grandmaster Bill McCloud, and holds a 7th Degree Blackbelt in, Sanuces Ryu Jujitsu and Kumite Ryu Jujitsu, and a 5th degree in Vee Jitsu Te Jujitsu.

He is one of Grandmaster Anthony Muhammed‘s first Blackbelts in VSK Jujitsu at the “When Worlds Collide” Dojo in Brooklyn, NY. Besides Jujitsu, he has studied Aikido, Boxing, GoJu Ryu Karate, Southern Mantis, Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi, and Wing Chun. Roland’s study of martial arts has allowed him to train directly under some of the world’s most outstanding martial artists, such as the late martial arts legends Supreme Grandmaster Florendo Visitacion and Doctor Moses Powell, as well as living martial arts legend Soke Lil’ John Davis. Professor Stephens has been inducted into the 2008 Aaron Banks’ Martial Arts Hall of Fame and the 2009 Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Fame.

In addition, Roland is a Veteran Detective accumulating 33 years of law enforcement experience. 27 of those years with the New York City Police Department. He has worked in some of the toughest precincts in NYC and with some of the most elite units within the NYPD. Roland’s last assignment was with the Intelligence Division working Counter Terrorism.

He has also performed other duties such as: terrorism investigations, shooting investigations, diplomatic security(several presidential details), and security on behalf of the department for many celebrities ranging from Sean P Diddy Combs, Jennifer Lopez, Curtis 50cent Jackson, Floyd Mayweather to Paul McCartney. Prior to joining NYPD, Roland was a former New York City Corrections Officer and worked in high risk correctional facilities throughout New York City. Based on his 45 years of study and martial art skills, and also his 33 years of extensive law enforcement experience, Roland is a highly sought out personal-protection specialist.
